John Brown launches Trade Talk magazine for Trade UK

John Brown has launched a new practical lifestyle magazine for Trade UK, the new umbrella brand created by the Kingfisher group, offering great deals and services for the skilled trade sector.

Trade Talk magazine is being distributed free to loyal customers at Screwfix and Tradepoint outlets in B&Q, Kingfishers' two market leading retail outlets and brands, and is a real breakthrough format for the sector.

The 84-page magazine contains a backbone of really useful and relevant information such as independent product reviews from a specially created test panel of trade customers, as well as buyers' guides and money-saving tips. But the easy-to-read format also includes a measure of irreverent and unexpected content, such as how to brew your own beer and Pimp Your Van.

John Brown, Group MD Dean Fitzpatrick said, "It's been great fun putting together the 'test' issue and we're sure it will be a big hit with customers and the business, and prove a real help in establishing the Trade UK brand. We hope to move it on to even greater things in 2011."

Demonstrating its playful style, the' Tested to Destruction' video is the first in a series of behind-the-scenes product test films, which will soon be available online.
