Help shape the standards for advertising

We are working with Skillset to help them to develop the definitive list of best practice skills and knowledge for the industry, and wanted to give you the opportunity to also get involved and influence what will be a valuable asset to our industry.

Skillset is creating brand new National Occupational Standards for Advertising and they want to know what you think! A series of focus groups will be held in February 2012 to collect information on what skills and knowledge are needed to work in advertising.

Your input really is invaluable and will help to shape the Standards that will be used to underpin the development of a Higher Level Apprenticeship for Advertising and will be used to support other areas such as the development of job descriptions, appraisal schemes, training needs analysis and other skills development tools.

Each focus group will see advertising professionals sharing best practice and discussing their roles and experiences with their peers. Critically, it will enable us to get the views of people from across the industry on how they do their jobs.

Edinburgh - 8 February, 1pm - 3pm

Belfast - 9 February, 10am - 12pm

Skillset anticipate the events will be very popular and spaces are limited so please register to ensure you have your say.
