1.How the search engines work
An introduction to how search engines crawl, indexes and then rank websites. The Search Engine Results Pages today and the importance of ranking highly.
2. Search Engine Optimisation
Search Engine Optimisation is the process of moderating and adapting a website in order for it to ranking highly with the search engines organic listings. SEO is usually divided into three main areas; technical, on-page and off page optimisation. The training course will go through these three areas in further detail:
2.1 Technical Optimisaiton - Learn how to ensure your website is search engine friendly, using tools to check the technical areas of your site.
2.2 On Page Optimisation Learn what users search for, and how to integrate keywords into your site. Writing title and meta description, keyword mapping, internal linking and more.
2.3Off Page Optimisation (links) - Learn about the prominence incoming links to your website has on your search engine rankings. How to generate more links; carrying out link development and using social media and Online PR for improving your link equity.
3.Universal & Local Search
The search engine marketing space is changing rapidly, the last few years digital content such as videos, images, news and local business listings has become an important part of the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Learn how to utilise Universal Search.
