UK Advertising recession over soon
New figures from the Advertising Association and research specialists Warc show that the advertising recession should be over by the end of third quarter of 2010. They also highlight how badly advertising has performed in 2009 with ad spend down 12.7% year on year with 2008. Read more »
Big rise in Internet marketing budgets predicted
Research by Econsultancy and ExactTarget has revealed that 66 per cent of company marketers intend to spend more on Internet marketing in 2010 compared with last year. Companies will apparently up their spend by 17 per cent on average which means that online marketing will represent a quarter of all advertising in 2010. Read more »

Publicis Blueprint overhauls Asda online magazine
Asda is overhauling its online customer magazine this month as it looks to assert its offline supermarket magazine dominance in the digital space.
Asda hopes the changes, taking place over the course of this month, will allow asdamagazine.com to function as a standalone publication, rather than simply replicating the offline magazine, by primarily harnessing an online community environment. It is the first major re-development of the site since its launch April 2008. Read more »
